Jason C. DiBattista is a Partner in the Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Group. Jason’s practice currently focuses on representing major trade creditors, estate fiduciaries and other key stakeholders in large and midsize complex chapter 11 cases, related bankruptcy litigation and out-of-court restructurings and workouts.
Prior to joining ASK LLP, Jason was most recently a Legal Analyst on the Americas Core Credit team at Reorg, the premier bankruptcy and restructuring publication in the world. Prior to that, Jason spent over eight years as the Head of Bankruptcy Coverage & Analysis at LevFin Insights, a Fitch Solutions company, and a predecessor entity, where he designed and produced the chapter 11 bankruptcy coverage from inception.
Before switching gears in late 2015, Jason practiced law for roughly 20 years, primarily in the bankruptcy and restructuring groups of large, national and international law firms where he advised numerous official committees of unsecured creditors, corporate debtors and their boards, prepetition secured creditors, DIP lenders, leading hedge funds and private-equity firms, ad hoc creditor groups and purchasers of distressed assets in some of the most notable chapter 11 cases during that time period.
