Nicholas C. Brown

A Partner at ASK LLP, Nick represents trustees, creditor committees, and bankruptcy estates in connection with avoidance actions, claims disputes, and other bankruptcy and insolvency litigation matters.  Nick has represented clients in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases across the country, including Dean Foods Company, Bankr. S.D. Texas (prosecuted avoidance actions and claims objections on behalf of liquidating trustee), Sears Holdings Corp., Bankr. S.D.N.Y. (represented debtors in the prosecution of avoidance actions), and In re Achaogen, Inc., Bankr. D. Del. (litigated various claims on behalf of the plan trustee).

Meet Nicholas C. Brown

Nick resides in Charlottesville, Virginia.  Prior to joining ASK LLP, Nick was a partner with a law firm in North Carolina where he represented bankruptcy trustees, creditors and other interested parties in bankruptcy proceedings, in addition to business litigation and condemnation matters.  Nick received certification as a Business Bankruptcy Law specialist by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization.

Before entering private practice, Nick clerked for the Honorable J. Rich Leonard of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.

Nick has been published by the American Bankruptcy Institute’s ABI Journal and has spoken at legal education seminars including the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges.
