Judie A. Saunders, Esq. has more than twenty years of litigation experience with a unique focus on representing adult and child survivors of sexual, physical, and psychological abuse in both criminal and civil court. Judie has represented and counseled numerous high-profile clients who were survivors of abuse and sexual harassment, including an Olympian, NCAA Division I student athletes and elite level gymnasts. Judie has extensive knowledge representing clients from investigation to verdict.

Judie worked for several years as a prosecutor, where she was the lead counsel in the prosecution of homicides and sexual violence against children. During that time, Judie prepared and conducted jury trials that resulted in criminal convictions, representing young children. Judie also spent a significant amount of her career in politics, including as a legislative analyst for New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Judie is a trained neutral and serves as an arbitrator and mediator with the American Arbitration Association and International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution. Judie also serves as a Sexual Misconduct/Title IX Advisor to colleges and universities and is a guest lectures at New York University on ethics in collegiate sports.
She frequently writes, speaks, and is quoted on these issues for major publications and released a book, “A War on My Body: A War on My Rights,” which she co-authored with several renowned women’s rights advocates. Judie has appeared at national conferences to present on the topics of sexual abuse, workplace sexual misconduct and best practices for conducting workplace investigations.
Judie is the creator and host of the Legally Brief Podcast and the Child Athlete Abuse Series, where she invites guests and listeners to address failures within institutions that cause harm to children and adults. Judie extends her work promoting women, children, and underestimated communities through her various philanthropic endeavors, including supporting Child USA which advocated for child victims of sexual abuse and serving as a Board Member to Parker Family Health Center – a Central New Jersey medical clinic that provides 100% free medical care to its patients.
Judie is actively involved in the legal profession and her community through the American Association for Justice, New Jersey Association for Justice, Association of Black Women Lawyers of New Jersey, the Garden State Bar Association, and network of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU).
